Silver Sable Shepherds |
The silver sable color has been a normal color for German Shepherds since the breed was first started. After many years of Black and tan saddle back shepherds holding popularity, the silver sable has become a more rare color like the solid white. Even solid black shepherds are not as proment any longer. However some breeders did not give up on the more rare colors and refused allow them to fall into complete obscurity. At Excalibur Farms we not only raise working German Shepherds, but have specialized in some of the more hard to find colors. |

These two silvers are brother and sister, Shiloh and Lyryc. Shiloh weighed 90 bs at one year of age. He still comes to visit as do many of the pups we have sold locally. Lyryc was kept for breeding when she is old enough. We are establishing a line of silver sables that will go back for several generations with only the silver sable color behind them. |
